Middle South Conservation District Trap Lease Program
Piloted in 2024 by the Georgia Feral Hog Task Force, the trap rental pilot program in the Middle South Georgia Soil and Water Conservation District aims to make effective trapping equipment readily available to landowners, managers, and producers. Highlights of the pilot year include:
535 feral hogs safely and successfully trapped and removed by landowners
20 trap rentals across 8 counties
2 educational workshops with a total of 58 participants, with content focused on behavior and biology, rules and regulations, disease risk and carcass disposal, and PigBrig installation
31,678 total acres protected
